MDK Law has recently settled the final claims in a series of actions at the state and federal level against clients that operated a failed online music retail site.  The clients were accused of operating a pyramid scheme that improperly sold business opportunities internationally.  Represented by  James P. Ware and Mark D. Kimball, MDK Law’s client was able to navigate litigation related to defamation claims, adversary claims in a corporate bankruptcy that exceeded one million dollars, and an investigation by Washington’s Department of Financial Institutions.  MDK Law recently resolved the final claims against its clients through a negotiated settlement with Washington’s Department of Financial Institutions in which all claims in the state of charges were dismissed without a finding of wrongdoing or misconduct by the firm’s clients.  Ultimately, with MDK Law’s assistance, its clients were able to move on to new ventures without any lingering issues of liability related to their failed online music business.
