Mark Kimball

Mark Kimball has had an award-winning established Business Law practice on the Eastside --serving Bellevue, Seattle and surrounding areas-- for more than twenty years, emphasizing corporate, commercial, contract, property and tax law. Washington CEO Magazine awarded Mark its 2008 "Top Business Lawyers" rating in Corporate and Tax Law.  Business services include incorporations and the formation of limited liability companies, contracts concerning commercial, property and business transactions, representation of condominium developers and homeowners associations, and consulting in matters involving federal state, and international taxation. Clients include software development companies, computer hardware manufacturers, restaurants, real estate holding and property management companies and political campaign organizations.

Mark received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and a post-doctoral LL.M. degree in Taxation from the University of Washington. Mark is currently working toward a Ph.D. in Tax Policy Studies. Research and writings include topics in federal and international commerce and tax policy, and Islamic and international commercial law. Mark was admitted to practice in Washington in 1983, admitted to the United States District Court in 1985, admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court in 1998, and is also admitted to practice in New York. He has been Board Certified as a Professional Guardian (B.C.P.G.), and is a Member of the Federal Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Midwest Political Science Association and the Academy of Political Science.

Mark instructed a substantive property law course for Escrow (L.P.O.) candidates taking the State of Washington licensing examination, has served as a law school guest lecturer, presents and has presented at Political Science conferences and continuing education events of the Escrow Association of Washington and the Washington State Bar Association, and has served on the faculties of legal education, research and academic conferences in Washington, the United States, Europe and Latin America. Mark is also a member of the National Business Institute's Tax and Corporate faculties and teaches frequent CLE courses to attorneys, accountants and real estate professionals.  He has instructed a college course in Business Law, is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the College of Law at Europe's Etvos Lorand University, and has also served as an expert witness in Superior Court proceedings involving corporate, limited liability companies and taxation.  Credited and current publications include the Oregon Revised Statutes Annotated, as Contributing Legal Editor, and "Context & Structure: Historical Institutionalism and Analysis of Cuba's Economic & Legal Reforms". Mark was appointed to serve as a Law Examiner (Bar Examiner) by the Washington State Bar Association Board of Governors, and in 2003 was awarded Martindale's highest possible rating: "Preeminent legal ability; Highest ethical standards."  He is Legal Consultant to Positive Choice Talk Radio and hosted a weekly talk radio show examining legal, political and other issues on KKNW.
